LinkedIn multi-image-post image sizes

If you're in the B2B (business to business) business sector, LinkedIn is the social media network of choice. Something to keep in mind with LinkedIn, is that the way LinkedIn displays the photos changes depending on how many images in your post. Which is partly exciting and partly frustrating, but to help remove the frustration, I have created these templates (don't worry - LinkedIn will layout the photos the same way on desktop as mobile devices (for now))

I included the ratios as well, because you may want to adjust the dimensions based on file size or quality. The dimensions are what I use to keep it in a general 1080px ballpark.

One image:

If you're only posting one image, it can really be any size, but this is my ideal size.

Dimensions: 2440px by 1300px

Ratio: 1 : 1.85

Consider including more than one image in your post, because posts with more images receive better engagement and visibility.

Two (2) images:

Dimensions: 977 px by 1920px (x2)

Ratio: 1 : 1.97

Three (3) Images:

Dimensions:

2200px by 1300px (x1)

1700px by 1300px (x2)

Ratios:

1 : 1.69 (x1)

1 : 1.31 (x2)

Four (4) Images:

Contrary to my first assumption, a 4 image post does not just stack your photos 2x2 in a square.

Dimensions:

1920px by 1920px (x1)

1610px by 1080px (x3)

Ratios:

1 : 1 (x1)

1 : 49 (x3)

Five (5) Images:

Dimensions:

1920px by 1600px (x2)

1080px by 1275px (x3)

Ratios:

1.2 : 1 (x2)

1.18 : 1 (x3)

An Alternative:

LinkedIn allows you to upload pdfs and these act much like an Instagram carousel, where you can swipe through the pages. This is a super simple method, and the limit is much higher: you can have up to 300 pages!

Hopefully this helps solve the "how do I get the perfect layout on LinkedIn?" dilemma and shed some light before you post multiple images on LinkedIn!

Did I miss anything? If I didn't cover something you were looking for in this post, let me know!
